Against E. coli AND Candica albicans !

Burgundy has evaluated the antimicrobial preservation efficiency (Protocol of the USP XXV Ph.) on 2 strains which proves the significant effect on the reduction of an initial microbial contamination either for both E. coli and C. albicans. Also performed is a study to investigate the effects of UTIrose™ on the antimicrobial preservation efficiency, and to determine the kinetic of antimicrobial activity of UTIrose™. The in-vivo results are there to prove these great effects.

The evaluation of the antimicrobial upkeep agents efficiency of some products is realized as per an adaptation of the USP XXV - American pharmacopeia.
The aim of the test is to evaluate the validity of UTIROSE as a preservative system in order to check that the preservative activity is not modified during the preservative period.
Between each measure, inoculated infections shall be kept at 20°C and sheltered from the light during 28 days.
Four post-inoculation countings shall be made alter 7 days, 14 days, 21 days and 28 days.
Before unpackaging, a microbiological quality control of the whole flora at 32°C is made on the product.
Conclusion : Utirose™ shows a significant effect on the reduction of an initial microbial contamination either for E. coli and C. albicans.
